A Prototype is Born (April 2006): The gas analysis module at the heart of Defiant Technologies' products is tested for the first time outside of a national lab. This compact chemical sensor system was designed and constructed in the basement of Defiant Technologies' Albuquerque home. Working in a basement always provides a convenient burial place for failures. In this instance, the funeral was cancelled.
