AIR APPLICATION
TOCAM™ Portable Micro Gas Chromatograph GC
Detecting Volatile Organic Compounds VOCs in Air

The TOCAM portable gas chromatograph GC uses a photoionization detector (PID) and helps users quickly determine total volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and single volatile organic compounds concentrations in air down to part-per-billion levels.
Weighing about 2.5 lbs, the TOCAM can be carried effortlessly into the field.

TOCAM Air Analysis – Soil Vapor Extraction Study
This is a thermal remediation site in Uppsala, Sweden. The site is a former bicycle factory.
Co-Founder and Senior Scientist Patrick Lewis is on-site for installation and training for the TOCAM. This application involved sampling process air from a pipe under vacuum and detecting TCE and PCE in a background of residual heating oil.
Technicians are applying a vacuum to the ground while they heat it to remediate a site contaminated with degreasing solvents like TCE and PCE. The TOCAM portable gas chromatograph GC was used to monitor the effectiveness of the remediation.
